Galaxy S3 or iPhone 5? Sprint Stops Early Upgrades June 1st!

Most who updated to the Evo 3D in June last year will be getting screwed this year with trying to update to the S3 unless you buy subsidized ... so basically my question is which phone would be worth waiting for considering Sprint won't let anyone upgrade early anymore unless you at min 6 months away from the end of your contract (which brings anyone who upgraded last year at November if your lucky) more than enough time to wait and see what Apple has in response -

What does everyone think?

The only way around paying a huge amount for the S3 is doing the buyback program and selling your phone back to Sprint but even then you may need a couple devices to break even -

I wouldn't say screwed is the right term. Sprint has just changed their policy. Yes, it stinks... however other Carriers you have to wait two-years for upgrades and Sprint has simply switched to that system.

Apple will do whatever they want. The iPhone 5 looks to be fairly standard. Longer 16:9 aspect ratio but still pretty small screen compared to most Androids. I'll be skipping the iPhone 5.

Honestly I would wait and compare both. I mean right now all we know is what the sgs3 has, and the iphone is all rumors. Last year rumors said the iphone would have all this and all it was was a minor upgrade internally. Take your time and see which one catches your eye and go with that. Plus it is looking like the iphone will not be out until the fall anyway

The S3 looks so tempting though (than again now Sprint customers really need to think about the device they upgrade to as 2yrs as i am finding out can be torture. and this is coming from someone who has been with the company for 8yrs+ and has upgraded every year given the opportunity)

I can't understand why Apple doesn't get the message. People want a bigger screen! Not a longer screen, a BIGGER screen. If the iPhone 5 leaks are true, they've just taken the tiny 3.5" screen and stretched it into a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Meanwhile, the SGS3 is sporting that beautiful 4.8″ Super AMOLED HD. For a person (me) who buying phones mainly on the merits of their displays, the decision is obvious to me. I'd get the SGS3.

Yeah I was going to spring and buy the Verizon version until rumors came out about a potential month long wait, now most likely will wait until Verizon announces something solid and I see reviews for battery and signal hopefully it doesn't have weak radios like the nexus.
