I Just switched from a Samsung galaxy mega to a Galaxy S3. I have a Samsung tv and I have a Samsung HDMI adapter that has worked for ALL my Samsung phones, but I am having trouble using it with this one, I am only having trouble when I try to watch Netflix with the phone connected to the tv via hdmi adapter. The problem is whenever I try to watch something on Netflix the picture always drags meaning the sound of the movie is playing faster than the picture. It works perfectly if its disconnected from the hdmi adapter, and when it is connected and I am on a different movie site I don't have any problems. I have tried over and over closing apps via RAM and still experience the same problem any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't know if this helps but when I bought an mhl hdmi adapter for my s3 it HAD to be a stock s3 adapter. Is yours?
Yes its a genuine stock Samsung HDMI adapter. It has worked perfectly with all my other Samsung phones and it works with the S3 that I have now. The only problem is there is a lag between the picture and the sound whenever I watch Netflix, i didn't have this problem with my other Samsung phones, I even uninstalled Netflix and reinstalled and still no change, so idk what else to do
The Mega that supported MHL does use the same adapter as the S3, so you're lucky there.
For future reference, you may want to bookmark this - just having a Samsung brand doesn't mean much, there are now 3 generations of MHL adapters for Samsung devices and the pinouts are not all the same -

As for the present issue -
1. Are you supplying power to the MHL adapter?
2. Have you tried playing a local video through MX Player and a higher resolution web video using YouTube to see if the synchronization stays or wanders? (Note - and, not or ok.)

Yes. It works perfectly with every movie and video site. Except Netflix, Whenever I use Netflix there is a lag between picture and sound, this only happens when using Netflix. But if I unplug the hdmi adapter from my phone and watch Netflix, it works perfectly, without any problems
And you're supplying power to the MHL adapter?
Maybe try it immediately after a reboot.
