Help Galaxy s3 Predicitive text

Hey, can anyone expalin to me why the predicitive text wont work while typing on facebook on my galaxy s3, i have it turned on, it works fine while typing texts but for some reason it won't work on facebook????

Hi Bobby83,
I just tried to type a new status update with the normal samsung keyboard and also with the 3rd party SlideIT keyboard and I get predictions coming up on both.
If you press the settings button on your keyboard, is predictive text enabled?
If it is, you could try the 'reset settings' option at the bottom of the list and see if that fixes things.

If I'm completely off base with the problem you're describing, just tell me the steps you're going through and what you're seeing/not seeing and I'll try to recreate it on my SGS3.

Thanks for the response! Phones new to me and i'm sure i have the predicitive set up properly now as it works fine on texts, gmail, chat and status updates but the problem with the predicitive not working is happening specificly when im writing a reply to another persons status on facebook, its a bit annoying, maybe a settings glitch or something??

Just tested that out on mine too mate.
Commented on a friend's status with the samsung keyboard and the SlideIT one and the predictive text works on both.

This might not work but worth a try. Go to settings, application manager, all tab and scroll down to Samsung keyboard and clear data. With any luck when you set the predictive text up again it will work.

I have exactly the same problem. I tried the advice proved above but still can't get the predictive text to work when commenting on Facebook. While I am at it - what is with the dimming of the brightness whenever I go on to the internet? I have the auto brightness switched off! I was told by a store today that this is a feature of the phone but surely it can be switched off so that the brightness is consistent?

I changed my keyboard to SwiftKey X and it works so well in all applications. It can actually learn how you type from your facebook messages and gets more accurate as you use it. Seriously it's the only app I've found that's worth spending money on! The stock keyboards and predictive text were driving me crazy, but this is just amazing!
