Hey guys.
I got my new GALAXY S4 a week ago, so i am kind a new on this phone. Couple a days ago, i tried to use mobile network connection, and everything was fine, until i spended all my free MB (which come with call and texts plan), i get a message, which say'd, that its not enough funds for browsing internet and bla bla bla... so I just went to settings and turned mobile data connection off...than the nightmare started...i stearted geting those messages about empty balance time after time, but why, if im not even trying to connect to? im getting those messages from privider for four days, and im realy strating to hate it...so guys could anyone explain me please, wtf hapeining whith my device? why its connecting to network, even than when its disabled?
Sorry for my english, its my original language, hope its quite easy to understand my text :)

Thanks for your time!

On the top of your screen, are you seeing the up and down arrows with either H or 4G on top of then? If they're not there, you're not using data. Your carrier is just nagging you (automatically via computer).

Nope, in four days (after i last time used mobile data by my self) i never seen 4GLTE or H anymore, and thats the weirdest think, if i would see it, i would know that ist something enabled in my device, but no...but what the point for doing it? and whats about "background data"? may disabling it solve the problem?

if there's no E, H, H+, 3G, 4G, LTE, and you've never seen them, that should mean that cellular data is not active. You can always go into settings and look at the data, and see a breakdown of what apps and services have been using wireless data, if any.

It will look something like this, although my phone is not an S4.

Background data just means data used when you aren't using the phone yourself. Like email updates, facebook updates, syncs, etc. They won't work when data is turned off.

Mikedt - most of them are from google service...google chrome, google and etc..some guys said that u can change apn for that problem, but way the f** i have to make that thing.. device is totaly new and should work propertly without that dirty things...have some friends with S4, and they dont have any problems about data usage, so i gues, mabe its just like chanchan05 said, that the problem is not from my device (wich not even trying to use internet) but from provider, who spaming those messages, or about my sim card being bugged somehow...anyway, today iam gonna visit my provider salon, iam getting tired from searching the solution of the problem , of which most of android smartphones owners, not event heard about...

FWIW a couple of years ago Google Services decided to run amok with my wireless data, when it decided to consume 300MB one afternoon, for no apparent reason. However my cellular data was definitely on at the time.

But then the Chinese govt. fixed Google's data usage by blocking it completely, unless I use a VPN.
