Help Galaxy S4

Lurker
My S4 had a warning about downloading custom OS's when I picked it up and it started downloading an OS and froze. No controls work, nothing. How does one deal with this one? I"m stymied. Hours later, screen is still on "downloading OS, do not turn off the target" HELP!

Okay so your S4 booted into download mode for some reason, keep pressing the power button to try to boot into the system and if that doesn't work pull out the battery and boot it up normally. It's not really downloading anything, it's just waiting to be plugged into a pc for something to be flashed (which it doesn't seem like you want to do, in which case nothing actually happened, just need to reboot into system)

OK a quick heads up. When I was fiddling with it I had my finger on the increase volume side of that button and it rebooted the S4. I hope this helps anyone else that bumps into this one.

No indication is was waiting to be plugged into a PC, it just froze. Without thinking I was holding the "increase volume" side of the button and it rebooted. Man it was really strange, it was locked up for hours waiting to see if anything happened.

No, it didn't BOOT into download mode.. got a warning about downloading custom OS before it went right into the "Downloading" thing and froze. I rarely turn the phone off during the day and well into the night. Thanks for the thought!
