Root Galaxy S5 Brick Help!!

I was trying to root my galaxy s5 SM-G900V using this guide:

http://androidbiits.com/root-verizon-sam...

and on step 6, my phone went into system recovery with the text-

Red Text: Android system recovery <3e>
LRX21T.G900VVRU2B0G5

Volume up/down to move highlight;
power button to select.

Blue text: Reboot system now
apply update from adb
apply update from external storage
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
reboot to bootloader
power down
view recovery logs

and i dont know what to do, i thought that factory reseting would help, but it didnt. so now i dont know what to do and it would really help if you guys could help me out.

Do you have a windows pc? Are you familiar with odin? I do not know positively, but I believe you may be able to either use samsung kies, or use odin to flash OE1 as it has the locked bootloader, the guide you used is for kitkat i think. Software versions OE1 and later can not currently, possibly ever be rooted.

Yes,the link you provided is root for kitkat, and you have lollipop. I could post links that may be of help, but I dont know if its against policy to do so here. I could pm them or something.

Heres somewhere to start:
http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/

Edit: If I actually read the link, I think you just need the og5 kernel, which doesent exist for odin that i can find, try here maybe:

Thank-you @Brian706 . I am currently downloading the OG5 Stock tar file from sammobile, but it is relatively slow as I am not going to pay for membership. will have it in a couple hours and will upload it somewhere and post a link, just need odin and to enter download mode (which should work still). I would feel certain this firmware should flash and all should be well. Like I said though, beginning with software version ending in OE1, Verizon prevented any root options, by disabling the ability to downgrade firmware, which I believe was how you achieved root with towelroot. I am in the same position now with my wifes verizon S5.

Tar uploaded. You'll need to unzip first. I strongly believe this will wipe your data etc from your internal memory. I am not positive, as sometimes I have flashed firmware with odin my app's etc are still there, and other times I have to start from setup. It's up to you also, may not be a bad idea to factory reset and clear cache first (definitely will lose data, to do this, make sure phone is powered off, hold volume up + home key + power until you see the splash screen and in small blue letters at top of screen it will say "Recovery Booting".) Otherwise, put your phone in download mode (Odin mode) by holding volume down + home key + power key until you see a warning screen, then press volume up to enter download mode. Now would be the time to open whatever Odin version you have, and click the AP button to open the file you just unzipped. It is large and odin has to verify the md5 so it will be a minute or two. Provided that all goes accordingly, plug in your phone now that you already have in download mode, it should say "added" in odin, and if its odin v3.09 make sure the only things checked are F Reset Time and Auto Reboot. Now click start in odin and it will take probably about 10 minutes, and should say reset in the odin box, then your phone will reboot, and youll see the little android guy with a spinning geometric shape in his open chest and a blue progress bar under him, your phone will reboot again and this time should boot as usual, other than it taking an inordinate amount of time, but your phone should be completely back to stock and well now. Good Luck, you most likely will have to set up your phone again but your contacts and such should be re-synced etc.
