The group text feature on my Galaxy S5 never really worked right. All group texts are received as individual multimedia messages from the senders and only appear as group texts once I load them, and the only time I get notifications for them is when I open the messages app. The only work-around that I know of is to leave my phone on the group text page. It hasn't been a big deal lately, but it's getting increasingly annoying to deal with and I'd like to fix it if I can.
My phone is about a year old and it's always had this problem. I've googled around for answers a lot before, but none of them seem to work. "Group Conversation" is checked under multimedia message settings, "Auto Retrieve Messages" is on, and my phone number shows up where it should under "Status".
