Help Galaxy s5 odd baseband version

Hi all,
I live in Australia and bought an s5 sm-g900f from hong kong. Android version is 4.4.2 The first odd thing I found was the superuserSU free app installed but it's meant to be a new phone. Anyone seen this app on a supposedly new phone before? Secondly it has a weird baseband version scl23kdu1bng3. I have looked all over the android sites looking for a replacement firmware version (such as UK) that will remove the chinese letters that appear throughout the phones operating system and apps but cannot find a firmware version that matches this baseband version. Device status says "custom" not sure if that means anything.
The alarm will not turn off with a swipe, instead I have to restart the phone to get it to stop, I cannot send texts and when mobile data is on it should find the 4g network but instead there is just a h in the top bar. Mobile network type reads HSDPA. I think these issues might be fixed if I can install a different firmware instead of the chinese one that seems to be installed on it. Any ideas?
