Galaxy s5 power button

Anybody had an instance where the power button becomes unresponsive? Home key and volume buttons work, rest of the phone functions as normal but the power button will not turn the screen off or let you turn off the phone completely! Taking the battery out and leaving for a minute seems to resolve it. This is my second handset with the fault.

If taking the battery out fixes it, it sounds like a firmware problem. Reflashing might help, or you'll just have to hope it's confined to a single lot number and your store runs out of phones from that lot fast.

Seems to have behaved itself since the handset did a few more Samsung app updates. Asked in in the shop and they hadn't had anyone else with the issue. Made them make a note on my account just in case.

I'm having this exact issue. Seems to me like it must be software related as my phone was working fine for more than a month before this issue appeared. I've been working through my apps uninstalling them one by one to see if that resolves the issue but no luck so far.

Im having the same problem, been over a month like this. I just reset the phone and seem to be working but after the phone updated apps its gone back to not working.

My s5 is having the same problem. I have tried a battery pull but with no joy, and now I can't get my s5 to turn on at all. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? Or is this a take it back to the shop job?

I took mine back and got sent for repairs but they in the end they gave me a new phone. This new phone is perfect, the power button feels heaps better.
