Galaxy S5 Underwhelming?

Lurker
I just made the switch from an iPhone (4) to the Galaxy S5 and while I like the phone, I feel as if it is underwhelming. I have read multiple guides and articles pertaining to switching from an iPhone to Galaxy (or any Android for that matter) but I still feel like I'm missing something, as many of my friends have the Galaxy S4 and they all think it's better than any iPhone they've ever had. So am I missing something or can I arrive at the conclusion it's not the best phone suited for me?

Some of the biggies I can think of are: ease with which you can share things across apps, and swapping out anything you don't like, even things that came with your phone. Don't like your keyboard? grab another. Don't like your sms app? get another. Change the app launcher if you don't like the manufacturers version. Widgets, and full multitasking.

[Edit] And I forgot to add, two large official app stores (Google Play, Amazon), and Amazon has been doling out a paid app for free every day.

Look around on the Computerworld web site for an article titled something like "Why I moved from iPhone to Android" where he describes a bunch of stuff that he found was so hard to do after using one of the Samsung phones for a month to write a review and then switching back to his (previously) beloved iPhone.

Speaking of 'underwhelming', that's precisely how I find the Iphones. Having had 3 of them, they never change and get really boring after awhile. IMO the S5 is much more advance than the latest IPhone.

Try out widgets for your favorite apps/functions and play around with stuff. Android can be used just fine without touching anything, but it's strengths are really in setting things up exactly as you want them. Try not to make it look and act like your iPhone as iOS is just a glorified app drawer, and misses the point of Android.
