Help Galaxy S5 wifi issues

Hello all,

So I am new to android, owned nothing but ios devices up until this point, so it is all very new to me.

I decided to go with the galaxy s5 and have had constant wifi problems since day 1. I'd like to consider myself tech savvy so I have tried multiple ts steps and now deciding to reach out.

Issue at hand is that I'll connect to wifi, get around my normal 30ms 82ish Mbps down and 35ish Mbps up. Then after about 5 minutes and I run speed test again, I'll be getting 40ms 5-10 down and 15ish Mbps up.

I have tried restarting both my fios modem and router in sequence, mac filtering on my router, going static instead of dhcp on my phone, giving my phone a different I address. Nothing appears to fix the problem.
Phone has been factory restored etc.

When running speed test I have noticed that 4G lte pops up near my wifi bars for about 5 seconds before disappearing which I figured may be part of the location services so I checked those settings and give speed test a good 10 seconds before starting the test to wait for the 4G to disappear so that it doesn't poll download speeds off the mobile network instead. Still no solution

My router is an Asus dark knight router.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

I will add that the whole time testing I will test on my iPhone 5 and get the same results with varying 1-2 Mbps here and there. IPhone will constantly pull the normal 80ish Mbps download and 30ish Mbps up. With 30ish ms
