How can I change the appearance of my text message to become conversational? Currently I have to scroll to the top to see what the recipient says when I reply it appears at the the bottom.... areal pain in the butttttt!

Try downloading a new messaging app with more customizability like handsent. Handsent is my favorite and allows you to choose from different messaging styles. It's free on the market too.

Which phone are you using? There are certain phones that have such settings while in other case you will have to use a third party app.
