Help GALAXY S7 Edge system question

I have an s7 edge with Verizon running 6.0.1. Since the most recent update, my battery life has been falling faster and harder than the Golden State Warriors. When I'm looking at my battery usage I see 2 android os/systemso up at the top of the usage. Is this normal and are there any tips for saving the battery on this update?

When you say most recent update, was it to update from 5.x to 6.0.1? If so, at the very least you should boot into recovery mode and clear your system cache.

I've seen the system and OS suck up power when you've got both WiFi and mobile data on in an area where you have low signal strength for both and they keep flip-flopping which data connection to use. Try turning off WiFi and see if the drain stops.
