Help Galaxy s7 is requiring WiFi?

I have an App on my phone for checking out TV listings. For some reason now, unless I'm connected to WiFi I get an error message that there is no network connection.

I have GPS turned on and don't want to use WiFi when I'm out.

Any idea why this is now happening? Is there a setting that I've may have changed by mistake?

I so frustrated so I hope someone has a simple solution.

If the app is pulling the data from an internet source, then of course it would need WiFi or mobile internet for it to show you TV listings.

Do you not have a cellular data connection? A TV listings app will require internet access of course to get the data.

Out of curiosity what was your previous phone? That app would behave the same way on any Android phone. On an iPhone as well, unless you use a different app that stores the TV listing offline. Of course there is likely an Android app that stores the listings offline as well, you just have to look for which one has that feature.

My previous phone was a Galaxy s4. This 7 is just a little different.
