Galaxy S8 v. Iphone

I have a Galaxy S8 and all of my friends have some form of Iphone they always say stuff about how iphone is better and I come up with valid arguments and all they say is something like ok, but more people have iPhones, or something that has no evidence supporting it. Androids are obviously superior as the iphone is almost nothing in comparison to most new androids. I need help coming up with valid arguments normies can understand.

My favourite argument in these circumstance is "Does it really matter?"

If the iPhone works for them and they're happy, that's fine. However if you're happy with an Android device as it's your phone, it doesn't really matter what any one else thinks.

iPhone Vs Android arguments have been done to death and are virtually pointless. ;)

Clowns can juggle and ballerinas can dance ... which is better? :D

That's the problem in a nutshell. If you want to bandy about technical spec's and benchmarks, you can make any phone look superior on paper. They all do pretty much the same thing and do it pretty well. As @El Presidente said, arguing about it mostly pointless.

Now, if you really want to go there, Android phones currently have around 80% of the smartphone market, while Apple holds around 17% leaving 3% for everyone else. Keep in mind that Android as a platform is made up of many independent manufacturers. Now the top Android manufacturer is Samsung and as a company is only slightly behind Apple in total units shipped. What that proves is that people buy a lot of smartphones.

The arguments about features one platform has or doesn't have, who was first, or who's copying who are really tiresome and at the end of the day won't put any more beer in your glass.

On one hand, the 2017 ferrari is around 1000HP while on the other hand other hand the average weight of and egg is around 40g.. but don't forget neither of them supports the favourite colour of 2017.

You can pull statistics for anything... comparing them is a dumb idea because they aren't comparable.

Are you happy with your phone? if so great. Are they happy with theirs? also great.

If not, feel free to buy an iphone, either now or next time.

If you spent your time trying to explain to "normies" why one is 'superior' the only thing the "normies" will see is some idiot who seems to be over emotionally invested in one side of a pointless argument.

Don't waste the time you could spend enjoying your phone arguing about someone elses.

Clowns....

Asked and answered :)

Wrong. You obviously are stuck in the CRDF (Clown reality distortion field).

Ballerina's rule ... especially if they can juggle.

If you substitute iPhone and android for clowns and ballerinas, you get the point. ;) :)

Yeah.. but that was the old 2015 spec ballerina... Its still playing catch up on clowns which can also sing

Yeah.. we're all a bunch of idiots... what did you expect?

There are merits to this debate. Real merits. Facts. Differences. The whole 9 yards...

But when you boil it down, there's no difference between this and arguing over your favorite band or genre of music. Different people prefer different things. If you own an iPhone and love it: GREAT! Not for me.

The only undeniable fact is that Android offers a wider variety of hardware options, with different features and specs, at different price points. Water resistance? SD Card? Size? Battery? Headphone jack? The list goes on... Android offers more combinations for the person who has specific interests and wants/needs/requirements they want to meet.

iPhone has it's advantages as well, but I prefer the advantages of Android.

Hey, all fair points. But one note--the above doesn't prove that people buy a lot of smartphones. Maybe only 100 smart phones were sold :D

Discussion on the topic that is better, has for a very long time not given rest. I myself have been a long time adherent to the iphone, but now the leadership behind the android. Although the fans of the iphone can give me a lot of bad words for these words. Because I betrayed their sect:D
