Galaxy SII i777(att) touch keys dimmed after root

rooted galaxy s2 i777 att using odin and siyah v3.4.2 kernel and my touch key lights are now noticeably dimmer than before, i restarted it and noticed that they are much brighter before the phone finishes booting and actually starts running software etc.

different kernel? idk what to do, i don't like the dimmed touch keys

You'd probably get a better response in the Galaxy S2 section, not the S3 section.

What rom are you using? seems like you went to that one webpage that gives you the old siyah kernel. Here [KERNEL] Siyah - JELLYBEAN - ICS [v4.1.1] "One kernel to rule them all!" - xda-developers - READ the 1st post completely before doing anything! I'm using 4.1beta4 (I don't know if it's still there for download), but the new one is definitely there and ready for JB too!
** Make sure you DON'T use or update the "ROM Manager" app (you'll have issues). Use the clockwork in recovery mode for flashing the new kernel and/or ROM **
