Help Galaxy SIII Calendar issues

Hi - just got my lovely phone but sometimes it just doesn't remind me about tasks I have set - when I have set a reminder correctly.

I have also tried to edit a recurring event to a different date (I have chosen to change all occurrences) and of course have saved it. Soon afterwards it keeps hopping back to the original date! Really frustrating - I have tried this quite a few times now. Any thoughts at all please?

Have you updated to the latest firmware yet? I had some other issues with S Calendar which were fixed with the latest firmware update. I got mine a few days ago.

I've not but will do - my notification noise seems to have died on messaging too - hopefully it may sort that - thanks!

Just out of interest - how do I update it with the latest firmware?? Have just done a routine update it prompted me with but that hasn't helped. Can't seem to fix the sound for my messaging either - frustrating...

If the update is available, you should get a notification in the notification bar indicating that there is a software update available for your phone. Pull down the bar and tap on the notification and follow the instructions.

You can also check for an update by going to the phone Settings | About device (at the bottom) | Software Update. If there is an update, you just choose to update your phone and follow the instructions.
