Galaxy Tab 2 can only log on if laptop is logged on

I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, and use my Comcast wireless Wi-Fi. Starting three weeks ago, I have been unable to log onto my network with the Tab. IF I log on with my laptop first, I can ALWAYS then log onto my Tab. It will not accept my password which I reset about a year ago. It now displays "Authorization Error Occurred." Does anyone know why this has started? Will a factory reset solve this? Thanks!!

Might have something to do with your Comcast router, I would contact Comcast and ask for a new one. I have Comcast and have never had that problem. What Android version are you on, 4.1.1 or 4.2.2?
