Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5100 Android 4.0.3.
My device started turning off and restarting a few hours ago.
Finally, it completely turned off and came back with a beginning screen, like when I first bought it last year, in Greek.
I am currently anchored off Goceada, part way between Greece and Turkey. This may have something to do with the transit between the two countries, although it didn't happen last year when we sailed from Greece to Turkey (I bought the tab in Greece last year)
Now, after the final off/on episode, my entire tablet is wiped clean. No apps, no email, all my Zinio magazines gone, everything. I finally got it to talk to me in English but I am curious as to why this happened.
I can d/l all the stuff again when I get a free Wi-Fi connection, and I can restore the apps one by one etc, reset the email and all but I am curious as to why this happened.
I am not at all happy about this but obviously there is nothing I can do so getting wild is not going to fix the problem. I'd prefer to avoid a repeat, though.
We still have a functioning iPad, and two Toshiba laptops so we're not stuck.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks for reading.
