Galaxy Tab 4 Question

Howdy. I got my son the 4 (8GB). It's his first tablet. He will use it for games and books (no movies). Is 8GB a lot? I also got him a 16GB card. How do I get the apps to download directly to the card? Thanks all
 
8GB is okay for a few apps, but quickly run outs, i am down to 2GB left, you need to find a good program like app2sd to move programs. Be careful not all programs can be moved and some will not work right if they are moved. Also note that the SD card is slow compared to the internal ram, i only moved things that i do not need speed out of.
