Galaxy Tab 8.9 KIES connection issue

Hi All,

I recently got a Galaxy Tab 8.9. I installed Samsung KIES software and tried to connect my tab. It kept trying to connect and at the end it said "Cannot start service in the device". I have tried almost everything (uninstalling kies, restarting tab and computer and may more) that i learned from internet but no luck. I am using windows XP with SP3 and my tab has Android 3.2.
Any help or suggestion will be great.

How much battery do you have on the tab? I can't connect to Kies with less than 50%

I was able to connect at 75%, but did not try between 50-75, so I'm not sure what the threshold is.

Thank you for your reply mrsbelpit! My battery was at 96% when i tried to connect.

Kies has an "update drivers" option in the menu, and make sure that the Tab is on idle. I may not be able to help you much as we are running on different systems (Win7). And Kies is also a pretty heavy piece of software so if your hardware (proc, RAM and graphics) is on the lower end of the spectrum you may have trouble.
