Galaxy Tab A8 camera flash?

I feel silly but I bought one of these yesterday and I can't work out how to make the camera flash work. Does it have one? - I haven't had a device with that lens setup before, is the flash in the ring around the lense?

Yup my Galaxy tablet has a flash, it is in the right hand side No the ring is for moving the camera from back side to front side, the flash is a lightning bolt.

bring down the notification bar and scroll thru the toggles like wifi and airplane and such, there should be one for the flashlight.

Can I ask what tablet you have? On the A8 (X200) I can't find a flash selection anywhere on the camera screen.

Also, when I mentioned the ring, I meant the ring around the actual camera lens on the back of the tablet.

On the A8 (X200) I can't find a flashlight icon anywhere in the selections, even in the hidden ones. I have it on my other tablet, but it's nowhere to be found on this one.
