Galaxy tab2 or Nexus7

Researching tablets to buy in the 7" range...........I have given up on the Kindle Fire HD.

I am now down to the Galaxy Tab2 and the Nexus 7. I have a laptop and want to move to a tablet. I use E-mail and web searching. (such as reading this forum). Movies and music from my laptop to a tablet would be cool. I have an I-pod and amazon movie account.

I am going to purchase one of the above but am getting a headache trying to decide and thought I'd get some input from you folks.

I may start something here between those that love each, but I'll try to sort out the bias' and move on.

I don't have either one. No micro SD card for the Nexus 7 vs micro sd card for Galaxy Tab2. Price for Nexus is better.

It really depends on what you need and want. Everybody has different needs/wants.

I realize that needs and wants are different. I also know that my post didn't tell much of what I was looking for.

I am concerned about quality and ability to get away from having to use "all apple" or "all amazon" and just do basic stuff. I'm leaning toward the Galaxy because of the SD slot but can also use a cable to plug in a USB drive in the Nexus.

Will I get tied into "All Google" with either one of these? It almost seems that you can do the same thing with one that you can with the other. Thus the quality and problem issues are important.
