Hi Danny, I'm not familier enough with the terminology of smart phones. The icon on my phone says Gallery (Is that considered an app?). The Gallery is where I'm finding the pictures I've taken since I've had the device (seven days now), but there doesn't appear to be any way to make folders within it as I would on my PC. What am I missing? DougThe Gallery app? Or actual folder? Use a file manager to create your new folders

Thanks, Danny. I've downloaded Super File Manager, and it looks like what I can work with. I have such a learning curve ahead exploring what smart phones can do. I'll be combing this forum for more info over the next month or so. Ha, no grand kids living nearby to show me. DougThat's the gallery app, it shows you all of your pictures separated by folder. If your phone has a file manager, you can create other folders to move the pictures, you can search the play store for file manager. Then once you move the pictures, you'll see the folders in the gallery app. So technically you can view pictures either from the gallery app, or use the file manager. Also some apps save pictures to a default folder, such as Facebook, will save them automatically to the DCIM folder. The photos you take are saved to the camera folder. Saving pics off websites save to your download folder. Take your time and get to know your Android.

Hi Mike, I tried playing with the three dot menu, but there was nothing that indicated album or folder on the menu. You can also create the folder, or "album" as it's called, within the gallery app.
Just click on the "3-dot" menu button, and choose the "create new album", name the album, and move the pix you want to the album![]()
within the gallery app.
