Gallery App No Working

[Android Question]

I am using Panasonic P 51 with Android 4.2.1. I am using China Mobile and China Unicom now. I too used Airltel in India. My camera and gallery app freezes every time. I tried to clear cache, forced stop, clear the data, restart several times. None of these methods worked need help. If I need to root the device can you let me know the procedure.

I would install another camera and photo app like gallery to see if they work and maybe use them see if phone has other problems or just those apps.
