Gallery App not working correctly?

HI,
I bought my Verizon G2 yesterday.
I downloaded some .jpg format pictures from Chrome browser.
But it doesn't show up in my G2's gallery app for some reason.
It does show up in Quickpic app.
This is definitely software defect.
Is there anyone having this issue ?
Anyone knows how to fix it?

Have you tried downloading pictures from other sources?

yeah I tried to download different pictures from different websites.
But they all turned out to be the same.
It does not appear in the gallery app....


+++ one thing I noticed was that if I click a newly downloaded picture from quickpic app, then the original gallery app recognizes it....
