Gallery app

I'm trying to follow suggestions from several websites about albums in gallery. The instructions say that I can customize, share, etc.

My gallery only shows the following on my screen (see attachments).

I have no options to customize how to view my albums, nor able to share photos that I select.

Do I have an old app?

I gave up on Gallery years ago. I suggest that you take a look at ... QuickPic. It is what I use (no I'm not on commission).

When you actually open up an album you will then have choices to share, delete etc. It has gotten really confusing (as I sync my gallery to picasa, now Google+ photos). It keeps adding a new gallery every time I shoot a picuture on a new day due to auto backup. On the plus side my photos are very backed up online as soon as you take them and it doesn't seem to do this on my laptop when I actually go to google plus, if you delete the photos the album goes away, but on the phone it leaves another empty gallery that does eventually go away but I end up with many galleries on the phone.

I haven't found any other ways to view the galleries either but I love it when I go to my computer and everything's there, literally in a couple seconds (and I use this alot for my job where I contribute to our facebook page as well as our website). Really comes in handy to just snap a photo and then be able to post it from the computer.

Even when I open the album I don't get any of these options. All I have is 'Select item' and 'Group by'

If you want to actually organize your photos, you really need to check out F-Stop Media Gallery. It allows albums, smart albums, tags, rating, and more. There are free and paid versions.
