Help GALLERY causing massive battery drain HELP!

Gallery is using 64% of my battery which drained about 40% last night.
I have checked everything including google sync with picassa and it still shows over 60% usage.
I have cleared the phones cache and still no go.

Does anybody have a fix for this? HELP! Thanks in advance!

Try going to menu>settings>applications and scroll to the gallery. Tap on that and choose clear app data. Then reboot your phone. If that doesn't change anything, You might have a corrupt image that it gets stuck on trying to create a thumbnail image for. Offload all your images and reboot again.

Beyond that, I'd say a factory reset would be the fastest way to restore your phone.

On my S3 i had a app (i think it was Bubble Level) that was using the camera for video) Battery usage kept coming up gallery. I finally found it by looking at app permisions. A level app for checking angles doesn’t need access to the camera.
