Help Gallery disappeared and camera will not open

I have a Galaxy SIII on AT&T network. My gallery icon has disappeared, and my camera will not work. It force closes when I try and open it. I've looked up and down the forums trying to find someone with a similar problem. The Gallery icon isn't hidden, its just gone. All my pictures are gone with it. Does anyone know a fix for this, or can I just download a new gallery app for my camera to start working again? Any help would be much appreciated.

Try installing QuickPic from the Play store, it is one of the best galleries around. I'm not sure it will make the camera work.

The stock gallery app is not in the App Drawer either?

Nope. The Gallery is nowhere to be found on the phone, Play Store App list, or even the widget list. It has magically jumped ship.

I'll try downloading QuickPic to see if it resolves the problem.
