Help Gallery images and MP3s only show up on the file manager.

They don't appear on Gallery and Music player. I tried 5 media scanning apps on app store, restarting the phone. But no luck

is the phone rooted? If it is rooted which rom are u running? Are the media and gallery data on an external memory card? If they are on external memory try copying data onto internal memory and see.

I am on the stock ROM 4.1.2. It is not rooted. Doesn't have an external card. My phone is i9300.

I put the pics and mp3s to the same folders as the default mp3s and pics already are, which are recognized by the gallery and the player. I am sure path is correct.....

try making a new folder called music in the internal memory and put an mp3 file into it and see if it shows up in the music player. I am assuming u are using the stock music player if you are you could try loading the player and in the top menu scroll to folders and see what folders are reading and try and put music in those folders and see if it works. you would need to restart to confirm.

You might look with the file manager in the folder(s) with the media files for a file named ".nomedia".
With such a file present the gallery would ignore media files.

Same if the folder would have a "." in front of its name.
