Help Gallery sort order

Has anyone found a way to change the gallery sort order so that newest images appear first? It seems totally stupid that I have to go through nearly 6 months of photos to see what I've just taken.

Or is there a gallery replacement?

Try going to your files and then sorting them out there. Maybe extra time when u go in gallery they'll show up how u sort them.

I don't know how to change the order, but if you drag the slider thing at the top right it will stack/group them by date, and make scrolling quicker.

Was there ever a solution to this?
I've found that if I store images on me phones memory, they are sorted newest first (preferred sort order) but when I change the storage to SD Card, they sort by oldest first.

I've dug around many a times trying to find an option to sort, and don't know what / where else to look.

Anyone know of a solution or workaround?
