You can try this... Got to settings->apps(or applications)->all applications tab->gallery->clear data. this will reset the gallery app and should fix the issue... this may have happened if you swapped out sd cards or if your sd card is damaged or corrupted.. Try the data wipe on the gallery app first. If the problem comes back, I would backup the contents of your sd card on your pc and reformat your sd card. Hope this info was helpful to you...
