Game ads still have sound even when phone on vibrate

I recently got my Note 3 and installed some of my game apps. My phone was on vibrate and I was playing Trivia Crack and after a game an ad popped up and had sound, rather loud actually. How can I prevent ads from over-riding my phones vibrate setting?

You had the ringer on vibrate, but you had media on more than 0. Hit either volume button, press the gear on the right and turn the media volume to 0.
