Game saves

Hi, apologies if this is somewhere to be found here, although I am trying to find out if I am able to keep/save/transfer my game saves for games on my sgs2 to a tablet device, and then an new phone? I have progress on many games that I don't want to lose when I change my phone.

I have saved all games that are on the phone to the memory card. Does this mean that the game saves will be there too so its a straight forward card swap?

The phone is not rooted an read somewhere about Angry Birds not being transferrable??

I have searched and searched for the answer and I just can't find what I am looking for.

Unfortunately, you need root to be able to transfer most game saves because a lot of them are stored on the phone in /data/data. Only some are stored on the sd card. Some games have a backup/export function that allows you to backup your game but its not very common.
