Help Games Not Working - Suggestions?

I've got a stock A500 running ICS. I can play the Need for Speed and Golf games that came on the tablet, as well as Angry Birds Space, but both Hero of Sparta (came pre-installed on the tablet) and Asphalt 7 won't run. They both start up, but bomb out before I really get anywhere.

Is this a common problem? Any suggestions on what to do to alleviate it? I'm not a big tablet gamer at all (I like my consoles for that, and just picked up a Vita), but it'd be nice to be able to play a few games, especially pre-installed ones!

I think that the built in games need to be updated to support ICS (ICS didn't exist when Acer added these games to the tablet.) I never had any luck updating them from the play store as they always say I have to buy them.
