Gamma correction in Android

Hi,

Is there any equivalent way to change the gamma (red, green and blue component) of the display being rendered on the screen.
In ubuntu, I can change the gamma of the screen as
" xgamma -gamma <value from 0 to 10>"

Thanks,
Pravein.

I would love to find an app that does this, as I think it would do quite a lot to fix the video artifacts on the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Nexus. References for what I'm talking about:
