Gap/Space between keyboard and display

If people who have naked droids could just humor me for a second...when holding your droid sideways (keyboard side facing down), is there a minuscule gap between the two parts in that when you push down on the top part, it hits the bottom or is yours flush? I ask because after trying a myriad of clip on cases, I think i may have /stretched, widened the gap.

My naked Droid has a very minor gap. I can just barely see light through part of it but not all the way across. I can slip a piece of paper partially in between the pieces but it is very stiff.

I don't think you should see any movement between the two.

are you seeing light width-wise or lengthwise. for instance, on the keyboard side, between the "back" button and the top of the phone is where i am talking about.
