Gapless audio over USB & AVRCP?

Hi all, new to these forums and wondering if anyone happens to have the answers handy to a couple of Android (specifically on the GS3) queries?

I'm currently an iPhone4 user (shush :p) and after initially knocking the S3 (I found it much more agreeable in my hand that on my monitor), I'm now actually considering the migration from IP4 to the GS3.

Now, IOS obviously has it's disadvantages but as a music player, it's just about perfect so I'd be hoping for the same feature set from any new device. Key are:

* Gapless audio over USB - my phone is my primary music device - in the house, in the car and when travelling. When I get in the car, I can plug it into the USb port and control the audio from the steering wheel/stereo. I understand that older Android devices were limited in that when plugged into a USB port, the device essentially becomes a USB drive. This allowed access to the music files but did not support some functions such as gapless audio. This isn;t so much a 'nice-to-have' for me but more a requirement as I have several gapless albums. Is this supported on the S3/ICS (or JB perhaps as I read somewhere that there may be a change in USB audio in JB)?

* AVRCP - similarly, I can connect my iPhone to bluetooth devices (such as my car or other car head units with BT) and with AVRCP 1.3 or 1.4 (can;t remember which), control the playback and also see all track data. This isn't quite as important to me but I'd still be interested in finding out if it's feasible.

* Headphone in-line controls - i have a pair of Klipsch X10i earphones which are perfect for me in terms of compact design and sound. These have an in-line set of buttons which allow me to control volume and tracks on the IP4. Are there supported on the GS3?

apologies if these are all answered elsewhere, I did a quick search and found some results relating to older versions of Android or older handsets so I thought I'd just ask here.

It does support AVRCP. I use it with a belkin aircast.

Excellent, thank you - that's promising. I've been doing some more research and it seems that Jelly Bean will indeed be introducing USB audio so it may well be the year I move to Android.
