Help Gapless Playback on GNex??

Minor annoyance but I'm coming from an iphone and i'm pretty sure itunes would automatically enable gapless playback when I listened to music on my iphone. I have noticed on my GNex that I am hearing the tracks skip and it is rather irritating. Is there some way to enable gapless playback on the stock music player, or if not, do other 3rd party apps out there do it?

I had used WinAmp on the DInc 2 before coming to the GNex, but it stutters and pops something fierce for me on the GNex. May be the internal card is too slow, may be an Android 4.02 compatibility issue. I'm using PowerAmp now with good results, though you have to tweak it a bit. I lowered crossfade as low as it would go, enabled gapless, and have had pretty good luck with it so far. Dark Side of the Moon flows almost 100% perfectly.

Still not 100% sure I'm keeping the GNex though. That battery life is killing me.
