Garmin Monterra (Android 4.0)

How are you guys doing?
I have this great gadget that as many of you know Garmin froze the updates leaving it on android 4.0 and my question is: using ADB and fastboot could I flash it to Android 5.0?

No...... android updates are very device specific. There is no one Android os that you can just flash onto any device. It had to be developed specifically for your device. Also you will most likely need to root the device to get an os upgrade.

So unless a developer can figure out how to root it and develop a custom rom that has android 5 cooked, there is not much you can do........ sorry.

Right, that's why I'm asking if anyone knows about this gadget which, despite being old, has a very powerful helical antenna, GPS & GLONASS. I'm going to try kingroot and let you know.
