GB update is worthless...Froyo?

I updated my phone which was still on Froyo. Not sure why because I didn't have a single issue...I mean at all. Never had a phone crash...nothing. Never had keyboard lock up at all EVER. Now I'm on Gingerbread. Screen sensitivity isn't good like it use to be. The worst part though is while using the keyboard it just freezes. I cant even type 3 text messages in a row at times with out having to close messaging and go back in. Then I can type a few more. Same on anything I'm typing from notes to internet search or Word. I loved my phone till now......now I hate even using it. Won't a factory reset put me back to my previous os....I used a backup app so all my contacts and stuff are backed up.

Anybody gone back to FROYO??? Give me your thoughts guys..

Thanks,
Wayne

Before upgrading to an SII, I went from official Froyo to a few custom ROMs, then to the official Gingerbread update, and then back to the official Froyo, and finally stopped at Zeus (this was point where I got tired and just got the SII). I had a lot of issues on Gingerbread, and although a factory reset cleared up some of the major issues, it didn't fix everything. Even if you factory reset, it will still be on Gingerbread.

If you check the other thread though, DesElms provided a method of cleanly installing the official Gingerbread update, which is working very well for him. You may want to refer to his post and see if you'd be interested in following his advice. If however, you just want to go back to stock Froyo, there are flashing methods on XDA forums that you can follow.
