G'day from a disgruntled sloth.

G'day all, had a Samsung GT S5603 for the last two and a half years. Smashed the screen the other day, so went looking for a replacement screen but it seems the phone is too old now. After looking for a replacement phone yesterday, I settled for a Samsung Galaxy Ace. I know absolutely nothing about android phones and last night threw it down in disgust. It was a frustrating nightmare trying to do anything with it, certainly not user friendly, I feel I have wasted $200. I am now hoping that through this forum I can learn how to use it and accept it.

Thanks for the welcoming replies. I realise this is not a help area, but since I have been asked what the problems are, I will give a short list of them. This is not all, but about what I can remember, was rather aggravated that night.

Slow getting on to internet
Kept going to big pond home page (advertising)
Kept going to a page asking for permission to send info to google, click no, keep coming back to it
Unable to log in to a forum that I frequent, unable to get to username/password boxes
When I finally got into the boxes, my 4 digit password came out at something like 6 or 7 digits
Unable to log into ebay, problem with security certificates
Trying to setup bookmarks, no go, kept going back to big pond (advertising, see above)

Hmm, try asking around in here:Samsung Galaxy Ace - Android Forums for specific help. The users of your specific phone will of course be the best to help. That said :)

Slow getting on internet is either a network/wifi issue or related to that big pond thing. Open your browser and go menu>settings>and look what is set as your home page. Check out your other browser settings while in there. Couple of really good alternative browsers are Firefox and Boat (both available in Play Store)

Also try going to Menu>settings>applications>manage applications>all tab and find browser, try clearing cache
