Gear S2 Stuck Setting Up

Hello,

I have a Gear S2 watch that I want to give to my son. He has an iPhone. I had reset the watch and tried setting up on his phone but kept getting the message “Setting up...”. I have downloaded the Galaxy app. Anything else I need? He has an iPhone 7 plus with the latest iOS.

When I set it up on my Google Pixel 3, it downloaded a few other apps and then sync to the watch with no issues.

Okay I got it fixed and hopefully can help others.

I had to connect the Gear S2 watch to my android phone again. It downloaded a few apps it needed to connect. Once it connected, from the app on my phone I updated the watch. Latest updates had an option to disconnect and connect to new phone. Disconnected and then was able to connect to my son's iPhone.

thanx for posting your solution......never would have thought of that. I was going to say that maybe it has some kind of issue with the iphone. I never have had any issues with any of my gear watches.
