Root [General] excessive battery drain

What's the deal with this phones battery consumption? I started fully charged and can only get about 3.5 hrs of moderate use. I tried the zippy kernel but it was worse so I flashed back to stock kernel, is there something I'm not doing right or should do? Need some advice people don't be shy.

Holy Shitake... It's like my l70 took a rip off a fat ass rock!

I have Zippy and Pure both installed... Haven't noticed any conflicts. Performance Control for the former is still working.
