I recently installed Genymotion 2.8.0 onto my Ubuntu 16.04 machine. I also have Android Studio 2.2. On its own, I am able to start Genymotion without any trouble. I installed Genymotion as a plugin with Android Studio, and then restarted it. When I click the new Genymotion icon in the Toolbar, it brings me to the Genymotion Device Manager. I choose my device and click start. A box pops up for a few seconds showing it is starting up, but then I get the following error message:
Unable to load VirtualBox engine.
Make sure that it is properly installed before starting Genymotion.

I see that others have had this issue, but for me it is only happening with the Android Studio plugin. When I use the Genymotion I installed beforehand, on its own, it works fine. Does anyone know why this is only happening with the plugin?
