Gesture typing erases 2nd word

Tmobile LG Optimus L9 phone running 4.1.2 and stock LG Keyboard "path keyboard" functionality. AKA swipe to type or gesture keyboard.

When I swipe out a message the 2nd word is always deleted. It's really strange.

I'll see the 2nd word appear and then it disappears that quickly. Only happens with 2nd word.

Any ideas?

Apparently stock "path keyboard" is broken. I installed Swype + Dragon app and problems resolved.
