I recently picked up an unlocked Galaxy Nexus and have been splitting time between it and my trusty iPhone. So far, I'm really missing notifications on the lock screen. On my iPhone, whenever I receive a notification, I can simply hit the power button and glance at the screen. On the Galaxy Nexus, I have to hit the power button, enter my unlock code, then swipe down the notification bar to get the same information. This gets old really fast. I've tried combinations of WidgetLocker and Executive Assistant, but they're nowhere near as useful.
I really just want to be able to access the full notification bar on the lock screen - either as an overlay on the screen itself, or I'd be happy if I could simply swipe it down (the way you can on the lock screen if you have security disabled.)
Does anyone know how to do something like this? Maybe some rooted hack to make the notification bar swipe-able when security is enabled?
