Coming from BB (and knowing how painfully slow VZW is with updates) this would be a very pleasant surprise having an update already after only a few days post-release!!!

With Android, I assume that we get some kind of icon in the notification area stating that an update is available, yes?

I would love it if they would add a "restart" option somewhere..its a glaring omission, IMO
You shouldn't have to power down and power up to do a reboot..

Yeah i loved this on my droid. i was using cyanogen mod and he puts a reboot option in the power menu.

Froyo will not be coming to this device for a while, guys. This won't be the 2.2 update, just a small MR for a few bug patches.
