Get the Epic or wait for S III?

So, I have a family plan on Verizon where I carry my wife, bro, and parents. 3 of us have had the Droid Incredible and my parents have dumbphones.

I'm considering jumping on Sprint and putting us all on smartphones. My bro and I are pretty savvy Android people. I can get 5 new Epic Touch 4g's for 5 cents via Amazon, and have the same bill as I currently have on Vzw. Or, should I wait for the new S III, or even the rumored data-sharing plans that Verizon is supposed to debut at some point.

Just curious to hear from you longtime Epic Touch owners on the viability of this device for 2 more years.

Why stop there, wait for the S4 and Jellybean!:D

Honestly, I'd go to Sprint now, their buy back program is pretty good and they're pretty much the only ones that offer true unlimited data (not sure how long that will last with everyone starting to cap/throttle data speeds)

If the S3 dropped in Europe, add a year for it to arrive here. The S2 has been out since Feb 2011 and sprint didn't get it until almost end of 2011

^This.
If you can wait until Q3 or Q4 for the SGS3, then by all means get it. However, if you're OK with WiMax then I would recommend getting the SGS2 now. I was in your situation but I jumped on Amazon's penny deal because I figured LTE wouldn't come to my area for another year or two.

Sprint has actually begun its training on LTE with its sales reps. I fully expect LTE markets to be active when the Nexus hits. I know that Sprint allows unlimited roaming on Verizon 3G. I would love to know if they will have the same policy on their LTE

If it were ME. I would make sure Sprint has the coverage i needed at my residence and place of work. The 2 places you will be spending most of your time.
2nd, do you want LTE or WiMax?
Older phones will support WiMax, but if your in an area, like me, who will get LTE sooner rather then later id wait to get an LTE device.
HTC and Samsung will have LTE devices hitting the stores soon, from there its only a matter of time before your area will get LTE as we know WiMax wont be growing.

Of course LTE markets will be active. They just won't be active in my area any time soon.

If you want to see the list of Sprint's LTE deployment plan, go to s4gru.com

I wouldn't hold my breath for the GSIII cause there isn't an official release date. However the HTC One should show up here in the next few months. That's a phone to wait on.

My Epic is the best phone Ive ever had ...Hands Down...Ithink its the best out there at the moment including Nexsus...The S3 is gonna kick ass with the Quad Core...And whenever I get LTE...Once its rooted itll blow anything outta water ...Till the Next One...
