Get_iplayer for android?

Does anybody know if it is possible to use the get_iplayer perl script working for android? I've searched Google but can't find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

however at the bottom of the page or near the bottom really it tells you:

Reported to Work on:
It has been tested by users under Linux (Fedora, Centos/RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, OpenSuSE, OLPC, ArchLinux, Puppy, NSLU2), MacOSX, iPhone and Windows XP/VIsta/7 (Cygwin, Strawberry Perl)

It says nothing about android so I would have to assume that it has not been reported to work on android devices.
